3. Volunteer

We are always in need of passionate volunteers to help out in various capacities.

Volunteers are the backbone of our daily operations, performing a wide range of duties that are crucial to the wellbeing of the animals in our care and charity work.

To learn more and sign up, visit our volunteering page.

  • Help at the Hospital: Our volunteers assist with feeding and caring for the animals, cleaning enclosures, preparing food, and administering basic medical treatments under supervision.

  • Help in our Shops: Help run our charity shops by sorting donations, serving customers, and managing stock. Volunteering is a great way to contribute your time and skills, and it’s a rewarding experience knowing you’re making a direct impact.

  • Administrative tasks: fundraising events, and public outreach is vital. We only have a relatively small admin and fundraising team so any additional support is very much appreciated. The dedication and hard work of our volunteers, who give up their time for free, ensure that we are able to keep our vital work going. Without their unwavering support, Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital simply couldn't function at the high standards we uphold.

Books and Media: Books, DVDs, CDs, and vinyl records in good condition can be sold in our shops or recycled to raise funds. Please ensure that books have all pages intact and covers are not damaged, and that media items are free of scratches and in their original cases.

Donated items for auction or raffles: We often hold fundraising auctions or raffles. High-quality and unique items often perform exceptionally well in our auctions, helping us raise vital funds to support the wildlife in our care.
